Web Sites For Small Business & Non-Profits...

My web designs are straightforward, colorful, table-based HTML coded in Notepad.

I approach the web projects that come my way looking to meet very simple needs with a unique design at a reasonable cost. Many of my clients require only a “business card” site with some project summaries and a Contact page.

Whether you are building your first page or updating an existing one, I can help you determine how to make your web site meet your needs.

Web Writing for Pacific Assistance Dogs Society (2008)

In 2008 I began to volunteer for the Pacific Assistance Dogs Society in Burnaby BC. I interviewed participants and supporters of PADS' programs, and then wrote short human interest articles to help web site visitors learn about PADS and orient towards their own interests.

To read a sample story, go to http://www.pads.ca/service_dogs.php and scroll down to "Nicole and Leroy's Story".

Web Site for Pacific Voice (2008-present)

I designed and now maintain the web site for a Vancouver consultant who offers communications training, workshops and coaching based on Non-Violent Communication. Visit www.pacificvoice.ca.

Web Site for Canada India Village Aid (2006-present)

The newly released Canada India Village Aid web site is now posted at www.civaid.ca.

This organisation's guiding principle is to foster self-help and self-reliance by supporting local initiatives which are nurtured, developed and implemented by strong local organizations in some of the poorest areas of the world.

Visit the new site to see a current listing of their projects in progress.

Web Site for Eye Opener Optical (2004 - present)

I designed, built, and now maintain www.eyeopeneroptical.ca.

The Eye Opener Optical is a small optician in Port Coquitlam. Owner Ted Plaseski is a great optician but he isn't very interested in computers. We put together a basic site that acts as an online business card, and offers links to the home pages for the brand name frames and lenses that he sells.

Web Site for PCDHFC (2003 - 2009)

I designed, built, and for six years maintained www.pcdhfc.com.

PCDHFC is the closest all-around shooting facility to the City of Vancouver. The range is heavily used for training by police forces, Emergency Response Teams, and Canine Corps, as well as Cadet groups. In 2009, PCDHFC is hosting events for the World Police and Fire Games.

Web Site for Murray Gardner (2002 - present)

I designed, built, and now maintain www.mdgardner.com.

Murray Gardner is a Master-level competitive target shooter who guided the development of the Canadian Firearms Safety Courses. This site establishes Murray's professional credentials, advertises his coaching services and merchandise, and promotes a better understanding of the shooting sports.

Web Site for Double M Excavating (2008 - present)

I recently completed a contract to refresh the website for Double M Excavating (www.doublemexcavating.com), an environmental and civil contracting business in the Fraser Valley.
